Annual recurring events and training

You can find upcoming training sessions and other events in our Event calendar. 

IP Academy

  • Every other year in November
  • A two-day, high-level seminar featuring rotating themes. Participation is subject to a fee. Students from IPR University Center member universities may register and earn study credits.

IP Summit

  • Every other year in October
  • A two-day, high-level seminar with changing themes. Participation is subject to a fee. Students from IPR University Center member universities may register and earn study credits.

Brand Seminar

  • Annually in November
  • A free seminar open to everyone, focusing on brands, intellectual property rights, and marketing. Also included as part of the Aineettomat oikeudet liiketoiminnassa -course.

IPR for Researchers

  • Annually in May
  • A two-day webinar open to member universities. It is also part of a course offered by University of Jyväskylä through the cross-study agreement and to University of Turku students on their own course.

IPR Lunches

  • Held four times a year in Helsinki, and additionally in Tampere and Turku
  • Open to everyone. Networking lunches can be found in the Event Calendar.

IPR Gala

  • Annually in March
  • The IPR Gala celebrates outstanding achievements in intellectual property by awarding prizes to notable IP initiatives, individuals, and innovations. The evening includes a fine dinner, networking opportunities, and a chance to connect with colleagues in a relaxed atmosphere.

ICM Certificate Program

  • Annually from February to May
  • Organized by the Tusher Strategic Initiative for Technology Leadership (UC Berkeley) and the Center for Intellectual Property (CIP), University of Gothenburg. Students from IPR University Center member universities may register and earn study credits.

 

Other seminars and webinars

Training events are organized in cooperation with members of the supporting association and member universities. Webinars are generally free of charge and open to anyone interested in the topic. Approximately 30 webinars are organised each year, with topics varying annually.
