Copyright training for teachers

IPR University Center maintains the Operight project, which is supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The purpose of the project is to assist teachers in various copyright issues related to teaching work, increase teachers’ copyright expertise, and provide copyright information quickly and clearly.

We maintain the information page operight.fi (available in Finnish and in Swedish), which is a copyright-themed data bank for teachers. The page is intended to answer copyright questions related to a teacher’s work, and its aim is to present the subject in a clear and pragmatic manner. The site contains articles, a questions and answers section, central case law and useful links.

Trainings concerning the basics of copyright cover the fundamentals of copyright in a teacher’s work and the utilisation of digital materials in particular. The trainings are free of charge and open to all those who work in teaching.

Future trainings for teachers may be found here.

We also offer custom trainings, which are subject to a charge and which may be tailored to the requestor’s needs.
