IPR University Center conducts research and provides education in the field of intellectual property rights, offers information services, publishes the online journal IPRinfo, and disseminates knowledge.

Intellectual property rights (IPR) constitute a field of law that requires diverse knowledge and expertise. Many legal issues related to intellectual property cannot be assessed without technical and economic understanding; therefore, the field requires multidisciplinary research and cooperation across different disciplines. IPR University Center acts as a link between universities and the business community.

Education

IPR University Center develops expertise in intellectual property rights by offering a wide range of educational services. The Center provides basic and advanced university-level teaching as well as continuing education for IPR professionals, higher education institutions, companies, organisations, and various professional groups.

Research

IPR University Center promotes research and postgraduate education in intellectual property rights. International, multidisciplinary research projects conducted jointly by multiple universities, companies, and public organisations generate new knowledge in the field of intellectual property.

Information services

IPR University Center disseminates knowledge by publishing the IPRinfo online journal, maintaining a case law database, and providing information services. The purpose of the information service is to collect and distribute information on intellectual property legislation, case law, research, and events.
