Data Mining, Industrial Internet and IPRs
A major challenge for organizations is how to leverage their large data sets. The growing importance of Industrial Internet applications increases the amount of data rapidly. The problem is not only technological or economic but also legal: data may include trade secrets, personal data, and protected intellectual property, which shouldn’t be infringed, but which shouldn’t restrict competition or research too much either. To navigate through the legal jungle of large data sets is demanding for both businesses, authorities, and academics.
