AIPPI Helsinki Symposium Cancelled Due to the Corona Virus Outbreak

AIPPI Helsinki Symposium on 11-12 May 2020 has been cancelled due to the safety risks imposed by the corona virus outbreak.

Last week, the Finnish government prohibited large events and urged people to restrict travelling and face-to-face meetings to prevent the corona virus from spreading. Since then, the Finnish government’s policy on events and other gatherings has only tightened. Following the Finnish government’s safety instructions, the Symposium on IP, AI, Data and the Platform Economy – Changes in the IP Landscape has been cancelled and will be postponed to a later stage. The Symposium will not be held in May as the safety of the participants and speakers might be compromised.

Registration fees for the event have not yet been collected, and the cancellation does require any measures for those who had already registered. If you have any questions regarding the cancellation of the AIPPI Helsinki Symposium, please contact the secretary at saara.heinonen@roschier.com.

You are welcome to participate in other Finnish AIPPI events which are planned to take place later this year after the corona virus outbreak has been contained. We will keep you updated on the upcoming events and hope to see you there.

Moreover, the Symposium will provide comparative approaches to the themes by introducing both European, Anglo-American and Asian views as well as legal and business viewpoints.
