The one hour seminar is built on Professor Lunney’s book Copywright, Compensation and Creativity: Music and Money in the U.S. Recording Industry, where he presents the first comprehensive empirical examination of the relationship between copyright, money, and creative output.

Professor Lunney holds a joint appointment as a University Distinguished Professor at the Texas A&M University School of Law and the Dwight D. Look College of Engineering.  He holds an engineering degree from Texas A&M, a law degree from Stanford, and a Ph.D. in economics from Tulane.  Professor Lunney teaches and writes primarily in the field of intellectual property, with a focus on the economic analysis of legal issues.  He is an internationally recognized scholar and has testified before Congress, federal agencies, and the European Commission on intellectual property issues.
