How does investment law affect intellectual property protection?
At the seminar, you will learn what international investment treaties (IIAs) mean for the protection of intellectual property (IP). Modern IIAs cover IP as a protectable investment. New important arbitral awards have been recently issued in investor-to-state dispute settlement concerning trademarks and patents.
You can download Tuomas Mylly’s recent book chapter on Human Rights and Intellectual Property in Investor to State Dispute Settlement from SSRN https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3474832.
You can find Ahmad Ghouri’s several articles on investment law from the same SSRN research portal by searching with his name.
