IP Academy – Value is an exclusive two-day seminar bringing together leading IP professionals, business leaders, investors, and experts in intangible assets from Finland and across the globe.

In today’s knowledge-driven economy, intellectual property is no longer only a legal asset — it is a strategic business tool that shapes innovation, leadership decisions, financing, and competitive advantage. Through inspiring keynotes, expert discussions and panels, the seminar explores how business leaders, boards, and technology executives can unlock and capture the full value of IP.

The programme explores intellectual property as a driver of business value, innovation, and strategic decision-making in today’s rapidly evolving economy. It brings together interconnected perspectives on IP, leadership, and corporate governance, including the role of CTOs and boards in shaping and executing IP-driven strategies.

Topics include the impact of artificial intelligence and value creation in AI-enabled markets, the relationship between IP and finance from venture capital perspectives, and the valuation of IP in transactions and business growth. It also explores core elements of IP strategy and value creation, such as the strategic use of trade secrets, the role of strong brands, and the importance of effectively communicating IP value to investors and other stakeholders. Overall, the seminar provides a practical view of how intellectual property supports business success across strategy, investment, and innovation.

Beyond the seminar sessions, IP Academy provides a unique forum for exchanging ideas, discussing the latest developments, and building meaningful connections with fellow professionals and international experts. The seminar dinner offers an excellent opportunity to continue conversations and strengthen networks in an informal and inspiring setting.

Join the leading voices of IP, business and innovation to explore how intellectual property creates value — and how that value can be identified, communicated and captured in the future.

Key themes include:

  • IP, Leadership and the Role of the CTO and the Board
  • AI: Who Captures the Value of Artificial Intelligence?
  • Venture Capital and the Role of IP in Investment Decisions
  • IP Valuation in Transactions and Business Growth
  • Trade Secrets: When the Value Is in the Secrecy
  • The Value of the Brand
  • Communicating the Value of IP

The chair and designer of the seminar is Roberto Castagno, Head of IP, Neste Oyj.
