Advanced IP Law Online Course

Advanced IP Law Online Course 2027

IPR University Center offers Advanced  IP Law (15 ECTS) online course from 11.1. – 31.7.2027 in co-operation with University of Helsinki, University of Eastern Finland and University of Lapland.

There will be two registration rounds: in December (2.12.2026 – 16.12.2026) and March (3.3.2027 – 17.3.2027).

The courses are covered by the cross-institutional study agreement, and registration takes place through the agreement via the student’s own university systems. The course is open to students from IPR University Center member universities (excluding Aalto University, which is not part of the cross-institutional study agreement).

The course consists of three modules:

• Advanced Copyright Law 5 ECTS, responsible teacher Taina Pihlajarinne (University of Helsinki)
• Advanced Patent Law 5 ECTS, responsible teacher Rosa Ballardini (University of Lapland)
• Advanced Trademark Law 5 ECTS, responsible teacher Hang Nguyen (University of Eastern Finland)

The course is a Master level course and at least one basic level IP-course is required. Quotas apply, and the selection of eligible students within the quotas is performed on a first-come-first-served basis. Students can enroll to all modules or pick one or two. The course area is available for selected students on IPRonline.
