Barton Beebe

Barton Beebe is the John M. Desmarais Professor of Intellectual Property Law at New York University Law School, USA. His scholarship focuses on the doctrinal, empirical, and cultural analysis of intellectual property law.

Professor Beebe has been a Visiting Professor of Law at Stanford Law School and the Anne Urowsky Visiting Professor of Law at Yale Law School and has previously taught at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law of Yeshiva University.  In 2007, Professor Beebe served as a Special Master, with Professor Daniel J. Capra, in Louis Vuitton Malletier v. Dooney & Bourke, Inc., No. 04 Civ. 2990 (SAS) (S.D.N.Y.).

Katri Kiviniemi

She holds a BBA in Marketing and Management and MBA in Entrepreneurship from Universities of Applied Sciences of Seinäjoki and later from EVTEK. She has studied Business Law at the Lappeenranta University of Technology as well as Design Business Management for Professionals at the former TKK now being part of Aalto University. She has been working in the field of IP for over a decade assisting in handling of patent portfolios mainly in the field of communication technologies and working as a European Design Attorney admitted to special list of design professionals held by the OHIM. She has e.g. worked as an External Attorney for a big telecommunication company in design matters. She is currently pursuing her academic ambitions at the Hanken School of Economics in the program of MSc in Intellectual Property on the side of working at Heinonen Attorneys-at-Law (part of Juridia) as a Design and Brand specialist.
